My life changed completely — I became a follower of Jesus Christ!

I'm Chris. In my hometown they call me Christian, but in the city where I live, Leuven, everyone calls me Chris. Christian is actually my real name.
At the age of twelve, at my Confirmation, I was fairly conservative Catholic. Afterwards my faith weakened a little.
I studied film in Brussels, at an atheist school, RITS. That's where I lost my faith. And by that I mean completely lost it. After an illness in 2003 I found my faith again, and it has been steadily growing ever since. And I'm very happy about that. I found God again.
From the age of 28 I became a self-employed entrepreneur. I specialised in video editing and was a pioneer in that field in Belgium. I started a non-linear editing company called Artechoc. I worked with Avid Media Composer — which was new at the time. Later I also started a television production company, ArtQuake Communication.
On 29 September 2016 I stopped my business activities and went looking for new opportunities. This was on the holy feast day of the archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael.
In 2017 — one of those new opportunities — I started studying theology at HIGW (Higher Institute for Religious Studies), and I did so until the coronavirus pandemic came. I am searching for my two-thousand-year-old culture, and I feel that we are throwing everything away. I am a seeker, but I find what I'm looking for in the Eucharist.
Together with a Picpus priest and a former CEO, we started an evangelisation project in 2016, Café Emmaüs, where we hold conversations about our faith with like-minded people.
We live in harsh but fascinating times, and I believe that God has everything under control.
